Announcement on Updates to Emission Factors and Supporting Documentation for GHG Reporting in accordance with TGO Notification

Notice: System Updates to Emission Factors and Supporting Documents for GHG Reporting in accordance with the TGO Announcement

Carbonwize would like to inform customers of the latest updates to Emission Factors (EF) under AR5, following the announcement of the new Emission Factors by the Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (TGO) on 4 January 2026, as well as the update to the Greenhouse Gas Reporting Supporting Documents (AR5), Version 7 – Update 2026, announced on 19 February 2026.

 Carbonwize scheduled the Emission Factor updates and revised the supporting reporting documents to align with the TGO announcement on 4 March 2026 at 18:00 (GMT+7).

Changes effective from 4 March 2026 include:

1. From 4 March 2026 at 18:00 onwards, the system will automatically update Emission Factors along with their reference sources for existing emission records. Users will be able to use the updated values immediately without the need to remap Emission Factors manually.
   
   

2. This update will affect the Excel report download format (.xls) within the Verification function. The reports will be adjusted to reflect the most up-to-date EF sources, in compliance with TGO requirements.

3. If users cannot find the required Emission Factor, they may continue to use the “Custom Emission Factor” function as usual. Alternatively, users can click the Helpdesk button at the top-right corner of the platform and search for “Custom EF Setting” for usage guidance.
   

Notes:

To ensure users are aware of this update, the system will display a notification upon completion of the update on 4 March 2026, allowing users to review the changes and verify any variations in emission results resulting from the updated Emission Factors.

This update will not affect any data that has already been verified prior to 4 March 2026.

For companies undergoing verification from 4 March 2026 onwards, the system will automatically apply the latest Emission Factors in accordance with current TGO requirements.
